The Strangler Fig is one of the most important plant species of the rain forest ecosystem. Hundreds of different types of animals like Parrots, Monkeys, Horn Bills, and fruit eating Bats feed off of the sweet fruit if the Strangler Fig tree. Figs are called the "key stone" species because they are so important to the animals. Hundreds of animals like pigeons, parrots, horn bills,toucans, monkeys, gibbons, and fruit-eating bats, feed on the sweet fruit of the fig tree. animals depend on fruit form the Fig tree as a major part of their diet A large variety of herbivores and omnivores eat figs. In some forests up to 70 of its animals diets depend on figs.
The fig tree would be best to see because since a lot of animals eat off of it like parrots,monkeys, and gibbons you would be able to see a lot of different animals when you would study throughout the tree.
The "Jambu"
The southeast Asian rain forest animals, like monkeys, gibbons and jambu fruit doves rely on jambu as part of their diet. The Jambu grows on an average of 10-20 feet in height. Also the Jambus petals are a pale yellow, yellow white or pink and the stamens are uni=colored. The Jambus fruit has a shiny, thin skin which varies form white to a light red.
the jambu would be best to see because of the fruit that it makes. the fruit is sweet and rich also it appeals types of animals like monkeys, and gibbons.
The Kapok tree
Many Birds nest in it, and mammals use the huge branches as highways.Frogs breed in the pools of water that collect in the brome liads.Plants and animals grow and live in the branches of the kapok tree.The Kapok tree is an emergent tree of the tropical rain forest an dis often discribed as majestic. The Kapok tree can grow to the height of 150 feet or more, towering over other trees. The straight trunks are cylindrical, smooth and a gray in color, and can reach a diameter of 9 feet.
the kapok tree would be best to see because of its massive size and beauty.also you would see a lot of different birds and mammals throughout the tree. there are different types of plants that grow on to the tree also.
